This page explains when your enrolment at VIT may be deferred, suspended or cancelled, and what this may mean for your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) and student visa.
This information applies to international students studying with VIT in Australia and is based on VIT’s Standard 9 Deferment, Suspension or Cancellation of Study During Enrolment Policy and Procedure.
You should read this information before accepting your offer and contact VIT if you need help understanding your options.
You may request to defer, suspend or cancel your enrolment in limited circumstances.
VIT may consider your request if:

Compassionate or compelling circumstances are usually situations outside your control that affect your course progress or wellbeing.

In most cases, suspension or cancellation will not take effect until the complaints and appeals process is completed. This may be different if there are serious concerns about your welfare or the welfare of others.
